The City of Kyle has sent the following update.
“This is a notification that starting Friday, April 2, Cherrywood will be reopened for traffic. The same day, Indian Paintbrush Drive will be closed for construction as part of the Windy Hill Road Improvement project. Traffic during this time will be detoured from Indian Paintbrush Drive west onto Dandelion Loop, west onto Amberwood Loop and north onto Cherrywood back to Windy Hill Road.
Then, weather permitting, on Tuesday, April 20, the traffic on Windy Hill Road will be shifted to the south half of newly constructed road to begin Phase 3 of the project. At this time, Indian Paintbrush Drive will reopen. Phase 3 will include constructing the north half of Windy Hill Road, which is estimated will take approximately 4 months.
During that time there will not be a dedicated left turn lane into Purple Martin Avenue. An alternate route for residents to consider accessing the subdivision is taking Kelly Smith Lane to Dacy Lane to Windy Hill Road and utilizing the right turn lane on Windy Hill Road. All construction is weather permitting. For more information about the Windy Hill Improvement project and road closures, go to the City’s Project Page.”
